Callum McGregor is an important player for Celtic.

James McFadden spoke highly of Celtic central midfielder Callum McGregor on Sky Sports Football on Saturday afternoon (2:54pm, May 4, 2019).

The Scotland international striker has hailed the consistency that the 25-year-old has shown this season.

McFadden said about McGregor on Sky Sports Football on Saturday afternoon (2:54pm, May 4, 2019): “He has played in every position for Celtic, bar in goal, and he plays it well. I think that shows his importance to the team. His levels of consistency are probably more than anybody else.”

Brilliant footballer

McGregor has been superb for Celtic this season and has been one of the best players in the Scottish Premiership this campaign.

The 25-year-old has established himself as a key figure in the Celtic midfielder and is one of the first names on the teamsheet.

According to WhoScored, the Scotsman has made 32 starts and one substitute appearance in the Scottish Premiership for Celtic this season, scoring three goals in the process.

As stated on Celtic’s official website, McGregor has scored 36 goals in 221 matches in all competitions for the Glasgow giants so far in his career.

Celtic have won the Scottish Premiership title and the Scottish League Cup this season, and triumph in the Scottish Cup will see the Glasgow saints clinch the domestic treble for the third season in a row.
