James McClean believes Celtic’s comfortable 3-0 victory over second-placed Aberdeen was testament to the difference in quality between the two sides.
Brendan Rodgers’ side emphatically saw off the challenge of the Dons despite being away from home at Pittodrie thanks to a Kieran Tierney strike and a brace from striker Moussa Dembele.
The win leaves Celtic three points clear at the top after 10 league matches, stretching their unbeaten run in Scottish football to a huge 61 matches.
Posting on his personal Twitter account, Ireland international and West Bromich Albion winger McClean described the gap as a “huge gulf in class”.
McClean, 28, is a well-known Celtic fan as he continues to repeatedly use his social media channels to deliver his verdict on the Hoops.
Celtic now face Kilmarnock on Saturday as they look to extend their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table and continue their enormous unbeaten run north of the border.
However, Rodgers may look to play a weakened side against Steve Clarke’s outfit, as the Bhoys face Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
