James McClean posted on his Instagram story that Celtic’s 3-0 win over Rangers was a ‘fantastic watch’.
On Wednesday evening, Celtic ran riot against their Old Firm rivals by scoring three first-half goals, and in truth, it could have been a lot more.
Republic of Ireland winger, McClean, was watching on from home and he posted the following six-word message when Liel Abada scored his side’s third.
Reo Hatate must have dynamite at his boots because every time he picks up the ball outside of the area, the ball is seemingly heading into the back of the net.
It was a statement of intent victory from Ange Postecoglou’s side and moving to the top of the Scottish Premiership table was a clear sign that this Celtic side is making strides under his stewardship.
The speed and intensity in which Postecoglou’s players started the game was something those in Rangers colours just couldn’t handle.
And in truth, if it wasn’t for Allan McGregor in between the sticks, then it could have and probably should have been a lot more.
But whilst those donning Celtic colours will be bouncing up and down with joy this morning, but the man that has to remain the calmest is Postecoglou.
There is still a long way to go in the Scottish Premiership title race and there well might be a few twists and turns to come.
But judging by yesterday’s performance, if both Celtic and Rangers go down a similar road during the final few months of the season, then the title is only heading one way.
