Rangers have clinched a deal to bring Russell Martin to Ibrox.

James Maddison has praised Rangers’ acquisition of Russell Martin as a ‘great signing’.

Martin had fallen out of favour at Norwich City and is expected to make his move to Ibrox a permanent one.
Maddison played alongside Martin at Norwich and believes the Light Blues are signing a real leader.
Maddison played in Scotland on loan at Aberdeen in the 2016/17 season and became a real fan favourite before returning to Norwich.

Martin is an experienced defender with almost 30 international caps for Scotland and on a loan deal the move could be inspired.
On a loan deal the Gers have nothing to lose, and Maddison’s comments are encouraging that Rangers have struck gold.
