Micky van de Ven picked up from where he left off during Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-2 draw at Manchester United on Sunday at Old Trafford.
You would forgive the highly-rated Dutch star if he needed to shake off some rustiness to his game, but it was the complete opposite.
Micky van de Ven was outstanding for a Spurs side that recorded a point yesterday, but probably deserved more and he got plaudits from his teammates on Instagram.
James Maddison and Pedro Porro were just some of the players to send Micky van de Ven positive messages after his return from injury.
With Ange Postecoglou still having to deal with injuries and absentees, his Tottenham players performed like they were at full strength, with Pedro Porro getting praise from Tim Sherwood.
Nonetheless, after the game, Micky van de Ven wrote on his IG that it was a ’strong’ performance from the team and it’s a ‘great feeling to be back’.

The Spurs playmaker, who is edging closer to returning himself, wrote ‘Good to see you back my boy’ added with heart emojis.
While Porro told the £43 million summer signing: ’Top my bro’, added with raised hand emojis.

Radu Dragusin’s arrival
Well, by the time van de Ven has been out of action, there have been some changes to Spurs’ backline.
Eric Dier is out of the door and new boy Radu Dragusin has arrived to challenge van de Ven and Cristian Romero for starting places.
The highly-rated Romanian defender did come off the bench to make his debut, but with only ten minutes of action, he wasn’t able to make much of an impact.
Going forward, it’s going to be interesting to see how Postecoglou uses his new player and whether he would throw him into the deep end when Spurs play Man City in the FA Cup.
