James Maddison has hailed Tottenham Hotspur striker Richarlison after his performance in the 2-0 win over Bournemouth this weekend.
Richarlison has been hailed by James Maddison despite another goalless performance for Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
Tottenham travelled down to the Vitality Stadium in search of a first away win under new boss Ange Postecoglou.
The home win over Manchester United really boosted the feeling around Spurs and they took that into Saturday’s win.
Maddison opened the scoring for Spurs, slotting home after Pape Matar Sarr dissected the Bournemouth back line.
Bournemouth had a real go after half-time but Tottenham held firm and finished the game off with Dejan Kulusevski scoring from close range.
That’s seven points from a possible nine for Tottenham and a superb start under new boss Postecoglou.
There are still things to work on but Tottenham seem to be making real progress with Postecoglou at the helm.

Richarlison praised by James Maddison after Tottenham win
This was sadly another goalless game for Richarlison, who is waiting to find the net for the first time this season.
The Brazilian has been a little unfortunate at times and did have a golden chance to score against Bournemouth.
Richarlison was played in on goal by Maddison but rather than take a shot on his right foot, he cut inside a defender and then lost his feet a little.
Bournemouth scrambled the ball to safety with Richarlison – and Postecoglou – probably left wondering what he needs to do in order to score.
Spurs are currently relying on Richarlison to lead the line having sold Harry Kane to Bayern Munich earlier this month.

Tottenham are getting goals from elsewhere but Richarlison would love to get off the mark and prove that he can be Spurs’ new leading striker.
Richarlison’s teammates certainly seem to be happy with him with Maddison offering him praise on Instagram.
Some are questioning Richarlison but Maddison suggested that Richarlison was ‘brilliant’ leading the line for Tottenham.
Maddison predicts that the goal will come very soon for Richarlison, believing strongly in his ability to find the net for Tottenham.
Maddison will be charged with the task of creating chances for the former Everton man and, hopefully, he breaks his duck soon enough.
