According to Sky Sports, Tottenham paid German club Wolfsburg an initial £34.5 million in transfer fees for Van de Ven.
It can take some players a while to get used to the Premier League, but the 22-year-old central defender has taken to English football like a duck to water.
Van de Ven has established himself as a regular in the Tottenham first team.

Van de Ven scored the match’s only goal in the 52nd minute.
The Dutchman poked home his first goal for Spurs after James Maddison cut the ball back from a short corner.
Van de Ven was brilliantly defensively as well.
The 22-year-old was strong at the back in the first half and did not succumb under pressure from the Luton attackers in the second period.
