Celtic may have wrapped up the Scottish Premiership title, but the season is far from done for the Hoops.
Celtic’s Moussa Dembele
James Forrest has suggested that the Celtic squad are buzzing to have Moussa Dembele back playing ahead of a crucial few weeks for the Hoops, the Evening Times reports.
The Hoops may go into the final weeks of the season with the Scottish Premiership title already wrapped up, but they still have plenty to play for with a Scottish Cup semi-final on the horizon and an unbeaten campaign to pursue in the top flight.
And their chances of enjoying success in the league and cup have been boasted by Dembele’s recent return to action, who missed two games due to injury – including the title-clinching win over Hearts – before returning for the latter stages of the win over Kilmarnock at the weekend.
And with the semi-final against Rangers just around the corner, Forrest suggested just how big a boost it has been to have their top goalscorer back in the ranks.

“You want your big players back, no matter what time of the season,” he told the Evening Times.
“It’s good we have got Moussa back. He came on against Kilmarnock and he’s got the Ross County game before we play Rangers in the semi final.
“We are buzzing to have him back in the squad.”

With 32 goals under his belt in all competitions, it will certainly provide a major lift to have Dembele back available to start, but it would not have been a surprise had they managed to secure an unbeaten domestic season even without the former Fulham man.
Forrest, Scott Sinclair, Patrick Roberts and Stuart Armstrong have ensured that the Hoops have scored nine goals in their previous three games, of which Dembele has featured for just 18 minutes, so his return could perhaps be deemed as the icing on the cake.
