Celtic winger James Forrest has commented on his fitness.

Celtic winger James Forrest has told The Scottish Sun that he thinks he’ll be fit for the Scottish Cup final, and may even return this weekend.
The Bhoys lost 2-0 at Old Firm rivals Rangers on Sunday, and must get themselves back to form quickly ahead of a crucial game later this month.
After facing Hearts this weekend, Celtic will take on Craig Levein’s men again just a week later, this time in the Scottish Cup final.
Neil Lennon needs to get his side firing again ahead of that game, with Celtic looking to make it a third domestic treble in a row.
They’ll need to improve on that display against Rangers, and they will be hoping for a major boost in the potential return of winger James Forrest.
The Scot has racked up 17 goals and 20 assists this season, and having seen Oliver Burke flop against Rangers, Forrest is needed back in the Celtic team.
Forrest has now admitted that he may make it back for Sunday’s game, but at least predicts he’ll be fine for the final – despite not even speaking to the Celtic medical staff about that possibility.

Forrest added that his hamstring was a little tight after the win over Aberdeen, so Lennon didn’t want to risk him against Rangers, which Forrest understands after a long season.
“Yes. It’s still early at the moment and I’m taking it day by day,” said Forrest. “We have the final game against Hearts on Sunday and I’m not ruling out being involved in that one. I’ve not really spoken to the medical staff yet but I should be fine for the final.”
“My hamstring was just a little tight after the win at Aberdeen. The manager didn’t want to risk it or push me, so we’ll see what happens in the next few days. When you play so many games, it’s only natural that you are going to feel some aches and pains,” he added.
