Celtic supporters have accused Scott Sinclair’s form of dipping so far this season.

James Forrest has told the Scotsman that Celtic’s player disagree with supporters, that Scott Sinclair’s form has dipped this season.

Sinclair has been criticised by Celtic fans, with some suggesting that he has lost focus after a brilliant first season in Glasgow.

The 28-year-old scored 25 goals in his debut campaign as a Celtic player, but he has found things more difficult this time around.

Scott Sinclair of Celtic is seen during the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Celtic and Motherwell at Celtic Park on December 2, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Sinclair has not looked at his sharpest, particularly in domestic competition, and although he does have 15 goals to his name, he has had to deal with questions being asked of him this term.

However, Forrest insists that everyone in Celtic’s dressing room believes that Sinclair is performing to his best still.

“In the changing room, we don’t think Scotty’s not been as good,” the wide-man said. “He’s our top scorer and looks sharp. He’s ready for every game and he’s a great player to have in the team.”

Sinclair has arguably been overshadowed by Forrest at Parkhead this season, with the Scottish international enjoying one of the finest spells of form in his career.

Forrest has been much improved this term, and has looked a major attacking threat for Brendan Rodgers’ side.

Celtic are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Hearts at Tynecastle, looking to protect their unbeaten record.
