West Ham United lost against Everton in the Premier League at the weekend.
West Ham United lost at the weekend, going down 2-0 to Everton away from home on Sunday afternoon.
The Hammers headed into the Premier League game at Goodison Park on the back of a 2-1 victory over Chelsea at the London Stadium in the fourth round of the EFL Cup.
A win for Slaven Bilic’s side against the Toffees was always going to be difficult, but perhaps the London side should have earned a draw.

Everton, though, picked up all three points from the encounter, courtesy of a 2-0 win.
Romelu Lukaku put the Merseyside outfit in the lead five minutes into the second half, and Ross Barkley added a second on 76 minutes.
English actor and comedian James Corden was following the match, and the celebrity West Ham fan highlighted a major problem in the current team when Lukaku scored for Everton.
Corden pointed out on Twitter that West Ham need a striker.

West Ham have a good squad, but there have been injury problems for the Hammers this season.
Strikers Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho are on the sidelines at the moment, while Andre Ayew, who can play up front, is only just returning from injury.
Simone Zaza, signed on loan from Juventus in the summer transfer window, came on as a substitute against Everton.
Zaza was supposed to be the striker who scored the goals for West Ham this season, but the Italy international is struggling to make his mark in the Premier League at the moment.
