Collins was released by West Ham earlier this summer.

Former West Ham United defender James Collins has posted a picture on Instagram alongside former Hammers teammate Dimitri Payet, along with a sly dig at the Frenchman with his captain: “Don’t mention loyalty”.
Collins, who turns 35 in August, is enjoying his time off after being released by West Ham following the final game of the 2017-18 campaign – despite fans desperate for the Welshman to remain at the London Stadium.

Since his departure, the club have brought in young powerhouse Issa Diop from French Ligue 1 side Toulouse for a fee believed to be in the region of £25million.

Collins posted on Instagram a picture on Instagram alongside Payet, who left the Hammers back in January 2017 after finally pushing through a move to leave the club and rejoin Marseille.
The veteran defender told fans not “mention loyalty” as he posed with Payet, with the attacking midfielder still despised by fans for leaving the club in such a manner.
Payet was supposed to be a part of France’s World Cup squad this summer in Russia, but he suffered an injury during Marseille’s Europa League final loss to Atletico Madrid.
It remains to be seen where Collins will end up this summer, but there are plenty of clubs likely to be after him following a decent campaign with the Hammers in the Premier League.
