Young defender Bree joined Villa from Barnsley on Wednesday.
New Aston Villa signing James Bree has told the club’s official website that he is looking forward to playing alongside some of the club’s seasoned international stars.
Bree joined Villa from Barnsley on Wednesday, becoming the club’s second signing of the January transfer window after Henri Lansbury, a duo since added to with the arrival of Iceland midfielder Birkir Bjarnason.
The 19-year-old defender made 61 appearances for the Tykes, becoming the latest in a long line of talented future defenders that has also included the likes of John Stones and Mason Holgate.

Along with the likes of winger Andre Green, Bree will be one of the youngest players in Villa’s first-team squad for the remainder of the current campaign.
However, he will still be hoping to get at least semi-regular playing time under his belt, and he admitted that he is looking forward to learning from the likes of Mile Jedinak and James Chester.
Bree told the Villa website: “I’m someone who likes to get forward with the ball and am quite comfortable in possession. I am someone who always works hard and does his best for the group – a team player.

“There are people here who have been in the game a long time such as Mile Jedinak and James Chester. Those guys have that experience and a big reputation, they’ll definitely be able to help me along the way.
“Being young, they’ll put their arm around me and guide me if I need any help so that’ll be good.”
Bree is a right-back by trade, and it is hoped that he will challenge Alan Hutton and Leandro Bacuna for the starting spot in Steve Bruce’s side.
Bree’s first game for Villa could be the trip to Brentford next Tuesday.
