Newcastle United defender Jamaal Lascelles has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s win against Chelsea at St. James’ Park at the weekend.

The Magpies ended their 2017-18 Premier League campaign with a 3-0 victory over Chelsea at home on Sunday afternoon.

The win means that Rafael Benitez’s side have finished the season in 10th place in the Premier League table.

Lascelles has taken to Twitter to express his delight at the Magpies’ win against Antonio Conte’s Chelsea and has thanked the Newcastle fans for their support.

Newcastle fans have responded to the message from the 24-year-old former Nottingham Forest defender and have urged him to stay at St. James’ Park beyond the summer.

The former England Under-21 international defender has been linked with moves away from the Magpies in the summer transfer window, with The London Evening Standard claiming back in February that Chelsea want him and The Mirror reporting this month that Everton are planning a £25 million move for him.

Lascelles, who earns £40,000 per week as salary according to Spotrac.com, is valued at €22.4 million (£19.77m) by CIES Football Observatory.
