Newcastle United defender Jamaal Lascelles scored his side’s only goal in their match against Wolves last week.

Newcastle could only manage a 1-1 draw with Wolves in their last match, despite taking the lead.
It was Lascelles who was Newcastle’s scorer in their last match, as the centre-back converted a Federico Fernandez cross to give his side an advantage.
After taking the lead, Newcastle seemed to sit deeper and deeper, and they didn’t look fully confident during the contest.
However, Lascelles does not think that Newcastle fans can be blamed for the nervousness on display from the team.
He said: “I think the fans were confident that we could get a result against Wolves.
“You could sense it. They were behind us and felt we could do it. We can’t fault them.”

Newcastle ultimately conceded against Wolves after Martin Dubravka failed to deal with a cross and Jonny Otto blasted home from close range.
Wolves looked the more likely winners of the contest at that point, but Newcastle did at least manage to hold on and claim a draw.
The Magpies will not want to get into the habit of letting leads slip, as they are in dire need of results already.
Newcastle are currently in 17th place in the Premier League table, having taken just nine points from their first 10 games this term.
