Newcastle United winger Matt Ritchie scored the winner as his side beat Manchester United.

Jamaal Lascelles has told the Northern Echo that Matt Ritchie has cut a frustrated figure of late.
Ritchie has been struggling for form at Newcastle this term, and has been consigned to a rotational role.
The Scottish international did score the winner at the weekend, as Newcastle caused a major upset against Manchester United though.
Ritchie latched on to Dwight Gayle’s clever flick to thump the ball beyond David de Gea.

And Lascelles is hoping that the goal can be the turning point in Ritchie’s season.
“Matt has been pretty frustrated recently, but he finally got his goal and hopefully he can start finding the net a bit more often,” said Lascelles. “But overall, it was a massive team performance and the Man of the Match could have gone to anybody.”

Ritchie’s goal against United was his first of the campaign, and it was reward for a fine performance.
The former Bournemouth man caused United a great deal of problems, and worked hard to ensure he retained Newcastle’s defensive shape.
The Magpies’ win over Jose Mourinho’s men has pushed them up to 13th place in the Premier League table.
