Jake Paul’s promotion has produced a touching gesture following the tragic news.

Many were worried about Paul’s condition heading into the fight, and those concerns only grew after he picked up some notable injuries during the bout.

After the 29-year-old was involved in a serious car accident while in Nigeria, attention naturally shifted away from any immediate boxing plans.

The former two-time heavyweight champion’s last opponent has now gone out of his way to pay respect to the victims of the incident.

While Joshua was able to return home a few days after the accident, there were far more serious consequences beyond just his own injuries.

Personal trainers and strength coaches Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami lost their lives when the Lexus jeep they were in hit a stationary truck. Both men had close ties to Joshua.

The driver of Joshua’s vehicle has since been charged with four offences as more details continue to emerge about the crash.

In response, Jake Paul shared a message of support for Joshua and everyone affected by the tragedy.

Most Valuable Promotions, which he co-founded, followed up by unveiling a tribute to Ayodele and Ghami ahead of their event in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

MVP posted on social media that both names would be placed on either side of their logo in the centre ring on Saturday night.

“Tonight we honor two extraordinary young men who have impacted many lives and helped create one of the greatest boxers of all time. This is for Team Anthony Joshua. With respect, Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele. Thank you for helping MVP put on a massive event. You will be remembered, always.”

MVP event features former UFC champion

The event takes place on Saturday, January 3, at the Coliseo Robert Clemente and will be broadcast live on DAZN.

Amanda Serrano is set to defend her unified WBO and WBA featherweight titles against Reina Tellez in the main event.

In the co-main event, former UFC champion Holly Holm will challenge Stephanie Han for the WBA lightweight title.

Also featured on the card is Ebanie Bridges, who will face Alexis Mones in a bantamweight bout at 118 pounds.
