Jake Paul supports the idea of the 49-year-old Floyd Mayweather returning to the ring for a rematch of what is considered the biggest fight ever.

Jake’s history with Mayweather has been rocky at times. He sparked a scuffle at the press event for Logan Paul’s exhibition against the former world champion back in 2021, and though there was talk of them facing off in the ring, it never came to fruition.

The younger Paul brother first introduced boxing to Netflix in 2024, with his controversial eight-round bout against Mike Tyson. Now, the platform is set to host the highest-selling pay-per-view star in history.

Despite their past run-ins, Jake has welcomed the news of Mayweather stepping back into a professional ring. When the two had discussed a potential fight in the past, ‘The Problem Child’ was clear that he wanted it to be a proper pro bout, not just an exhibition.

But the size difference made it a non-starter. Mayweather’s heaviest official weigh-in was just over 160lb, while Paul has never come in under 183lb and more recently has fought as heavy as cruiserweight and even heavyweight.

Paul has always backed big-name events, no matter how competitive they might be, as long as they draw fans in. This rematch fits that bill, especially considering their first fight sold 4.6 million pay-per-views and pulled in $72 million at the box office. This time around, it will be available free to Netflix subscribers.

“I love Canelo and Bud on Netflix,” he posted on X.

“I love Ryan and Barrios on DAZN. I love Manny and Money back for a pro-fight. I hope ESPN gets back in soon too. It’s all good for growing boxing. That should be the focus.”

Paul has fought twice on Netflix so far, with his bout against Tyson peaking at over 65 million concurrent viewers worldwide. The fight against Anthony Joshua pulled over 33 million viewers across platforms and went viral after the YouTuber-turned-boxer was brutally knocked out by ‘AJ’.
