Livermore has been on the books of West Brom since January 2017 when he joined from Hull City for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £10 million.
Pulis was in charge of the Baggies from January 2015 until November 2017, and is now the manager of Middlesbrough.
Livermore has admitted that West Brom used to tail off towards the end of seasons, and hopes that history does not repeat itself this campaign.
The 28-year-old English midfielder told The Express & Star: “We played under Tony (Pulis) for a few years and the general feeling was that towards the end of the season, we blew up and the results seemed to slow down, and we are hoping with this style of play it will be in reverse.
“If we can stay there or thereabouts, we will push on towards the end of the season. We are still learning a different system, we are only going to grow and get better in my opinion.”

Pushing for promotion
West Brom simply cannot afford to tail off towards the end of the season, as they are chasing promotion from the Championship to the Premier League.
Darren Moore’s side have suffered a dip in form, and it is important that they bounce back.
The Baggies are playing attacking football and have scored 33 goals in the Championship so far this campaign.
However, West Brom are conceding far too many goals for a team aiming to win automatic promotion to the Premier League.
