Rangers winger Jake Hastie has told the club’s official website that he has been encouraged by the support he has received from the Ibrox fans on social media.

Hastie has joined Rangers in the summer transfer window after leaving Scottish Premiership rivals Motherwell.

The 20-year-old winger agreed a pre-contract agreement with Rangers back in January 2019.

The Scotland Under-21 international winger has praised the Rangers fans, and is pleased with the support he has received from them.

Hastie told Rangers’ official website: “It is something I am really looking forward to, especially at Ibrox with the atmosphere there and the fans – it is going to blow me away.”

The youngster added: “It has been absolutely unbelievable on my Twitter and my Instagram with folk wishing me all the best – it has been brilliant.”

Good signing for Rangers?

Hastie is one of the best and most promising young wingers in Scotland, and the 20-year-old is a very good signing for Rangers, not just for now, but for the long term as well.

Rangers do needed a winger following the return of Ryan Kent to his parent club Liverpool following a loan spell at Ibrox during the 2018-19 campaign.

Steven Gerrard’s side will be aiming to challenge Old Firm rivals Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title next season.
