Jadon Sancho’s hopes of securing a fresh start in Italy look to be fading fast, with Napoli now close to deals for two alternative attacking targets — and an Italian agent weighing in on why the Manchester United forward isn’t making the move.
Sancho, whose £250,000-a-week salary remains a huge stumbling block, had seen a potential exit door open in Italy. Juventus were reportedly keen, even arranging further talks, though Napoli stepped in with early interest too.

But with the wage demands proving too steep, Napoli have turned their attention elsewhere. They’re moving for both Noa Lang and Dan Ndoye — two players who, combined, would tally up similar to United’s asking price for Sancho, but likely with far more manageable wages.
Lang has already agreed personal terms, and reports in Italy suggest Napoli are confident of tying up both deals soon — which would close the door on Sancho once and for all, at least where Serie A champions are concerned.
Agent explains why Sancho isn’t going to Napoli
Speaking to Radio CRC, agent Vincenzo Morabito explained the market dynamics from Napoli’s perspective.
“On a footballing level, [Noa Lang’s] value is beyond discussion,” Morabito said. “He is a forward who can make great moves and has qualities that make him really good.

“Napoli have thought about him, studied him, analysed him and know him. Sancho or Noa Lang? I prefer Sancho. At the current figures, however, there is no doubt that it is more convenient for Napoli to take Noa Lang. I do not know if Sancho will come to Italy in the end.”
It’s a perspective that likely echoes how a few clubs are now viewing United’s more high-profile, high-wage names — especially after the club’s struggles to move other players on.

Garnacho also finding exit routes blocked
Napoli have also cooled on Alejandro Garnacho. Early interest has dried up, with Garnacho’s own wage packet and United’s valuation again proving to be the sticking points.
Spanish club Real Betis do remain focused on bringing Antony in on a permanent basis — which would at least move one high-profile earner off the books.
