Whether you are a senior player, or whether you are a youngster trying to make a name for yourself in the game, a move to a team like Liverpool would be quite a special moment if you were in a situation to do so.

Well, Borussia Dortmund winger Jacob Bruun Larsen may just be able to do that because Liverpool, as well as their Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester United, are keen to sign the 20-year-old this summer.

The Sun have claimed that the three teams are battling one another for the £15 million-rated winger, who enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in Germany’s top-flight last season.

Out of the three teams interested, playing at Anfield and working under Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool would be the best destination for Larsen, especially considering the mess that United and Arsenal are in, at this moment in time.

Being part of Man Utd and Arsenal would still be a huge step up, but if Larsen were to move then moving to Liverpool would be the best place for his development.

The Reds are champions of Europe, have a settled squad and Klopp has proven with the likes of Andy Robertson, Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold, that he can take your game to the next level.

Whilst Larsen would struggle to get in front of the dynamic duo of Sadio Mane and Mo Salah, given the lack of depth at Anfield, at this moment in time, he would be able to make a name for himself from the bench.

Divock Origi proved last season what an impact an individual can make as a substitute and a youngster such as Larsen can take inspiration from that.

But more importantly, Larsen’s ability to move the ball at speed in the final third is something that would suit Klopp’s style of play, not forgetting that he would be a much better attacking option than most that sat on Liverpool’s bench last term.

Nonetheless, Larsen has a pretty impressive record for Dortmund’s younger age groups, he scored an impressive 31 goals in 49 matches and supplied 26 assists along the way [transfermarkt].
