Aston Villa have made a signing for the future today with the arrival of Jacob Bedeau from Bury. The 17-year-old signed a two-and-a-half-year deal at Villa Park for a fee reported by the BBC to be in the region of £900,000.
It marks a massive turnaround for the player. He was released by Leyton Orient in the summer before being handed a reprieve by Bury.

The Shakers could not believe their luck. The teenager proved to be an excellent signing and put in some fine performances for the club this season, attracting the interest of Villa.
For Bedeau it was a massive relief to get his deal over the line today.
He sent out this tweet earlier today, expressing his joy at the move:
He was not the only one pleased with the move. He was welcomed to the club by Aston Villa’s enigmatic chairman Tony Xia on Twitter:
Of course, he will have a fight on his hands to make it into the Aston Villa first-team. He is still young and has plenty of experienced pros ahead of him in the shake-up at Aston Villa.
But hopefully he can go on to become a Villa regular.
