Jack Wilshere has shared an update with talkSPORT about his time training with Arsenal, and what he plans to do after he leaves London Colney.
What’s the story?
Well, as you may know, Mikel Arteta recently invited the 29-year-old back to London Colney to train and do his coaching badges.
Wilshere was also present at the Emirates Stadium in Arsenal’s 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace on Monday.
However, it doesn’t sound like he’ll be staying at Arsenal for much longer.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Wilshere said: “I’d like to go abroad actually. Obviously I would like to play in the Premier League as well, but I would also like to play abroad. I’m training with Arsenal until the end of January, the MLS start their pre-season in January.”
For those Arsenal fans hoping to see the England international stay at London Colney for longer, this news will be disappointing.
However, it was to be expected. Despite his status as a cult hero, Arteta is doing Wilshere a favour, in all honesty.
Should Arsenal offer Jack Wilshere a contract?

Wilshere is clearly still keen on playing, hence his consideration of a move to Major League Soccer.
As he’s still interested in continuing his playing career, some have called on the Gunners to offer him a short-term contract.
However, the north Londoners would be foolish to do so.
Arteta already has midfield options in Martin Ødegaard, Thomas Partey, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny.

It’s great to have Wilshere back at London Colney to guide Charlie Patino and others, although that is as far as it should go.
Arsenal are in a mess, and the last thing they need is to give in to sentiment and offer someone who won’t improve them a contract.
Hopefully, Wilshere finds a new project he can get stuck into once he leaves London Colney, and begin to enjoy his football again.
