West Ham United were outplayed by Bournemouth in the second half yesterday.

West Ham star Jack Wilshere spoke exclusively to the club’s official website in the aftermath of his side’s defeat to Bournemouth at the London Stadium yesterday, and shared how he and his teammates reacted in the dressing room after the game.

The 26-year-old was one of nine new signings brought into the club by Manuel Pellegrini in the summer, and many were tipping the Hammers to make a sustained push for the European places this season.

West Ham have begun their campaign in poor fashion, however, losing both of their opening two league games, and they currently sit rock bottom in the Premier League table.

Wilshere spoke exclusively to the club’s official website after yesterday’s defeat to Bournemouth, and shared how devastated he and his teammates were in the dressing room after the game:

“We started well and we all wanted to win this week and we felt we were good enough to win. Obviously, the dressing room is devastated because we should have come away with something from the game, but we have to go again.”

Next up for West Ham is a tricky looking trip to the Emirates to take on Arsenal next weekend, and Wilshere will be desperate to inspire his side to a positive result against his former club.

A defeat against Unai Emery’s men really would put the Hammers on the back foot, and they will need to be at their very best if they are to return to east London with anything to show for their efforts.
