West Ham United have been incredibly busy in the transfer market this summer.

West Ham’s Jack Wilshere spoke to reporters during Sky Sports’ Premier League Launch Show, and named the two summer signings who have really excited him.

Manuel Pellegrini has spent heavily this summer, bringing in a whole host of new names to the tune of around £100 million, in an attempt to build a squad who are capable of making a sustained push for the European places this season.

Two of the Chilean’s most impressive signings this summer have been Andriy Yarmolenko and Felipe Anderson, and the Ukrainian and the Brazilian are expected to provide a real cutting edge to West Ham’s attacking play.

Wilshere explained how excited his is to see the duo in action in a Hammers shirt this season, when speaking to reporters at Sky Sports’ Premier League Launch Show:

“We’ve got some good players, especially going forward, Yarmolenko and Anderson have settled in really well, they’re going to bring something different. It will be interesting to see how they adapt in this league. Everyone knows how difficult this league is but we’re excited, we’re a good team going forward and in this league we need to defend as a team well and then we’ll have the opportunity to go forward and create chances.”

Many of the east London outfit’s new signings will need to be given time to adjust to life in England, and if they are afforded that, there is no reason why West Ham cannot go on to become one of the league’s top six or seven clubs over the next 12 months or so.
