Jack Wilshere thinks Arsenal have a ‘big chance’ to sign Tottenham transfer target, Gabriel Jesus, from Manchester City this summer, as he told talkSPORT.
The former Arsenal midfielder added that he thinks clubs, including Tottenham, will be ‘queuing up’ for the 25-year-old’s signature.
Jesus has one-year remaining on his current Manchester City contract, with both north London duo keen on the £50 million forward.
Tottenham have Champions League football for next season, so they will feel they have that advantage to sign him, but their neighbours would be able to provide him with the regular starts he craves – Jesus isn’t exactly getting ahead of Harry Kane or Heung-Min Son in the Spurs pecking order, is he!?
Nonetheless, when Wilshere was asked about Jesus’ future, this is what he had to say.
“He has a year left on his contract,” asked Wilshere. “They could get him cheaper if they hold out.
“I’ve done that before (run down my contract) – you get more money that way, it’s a fact. That’s why the players do it.
On Tottenham links and clubs queuing up for Jesus: “I think they will be queuing up (for Jesus). I think Arsenal will have a big chance of signing him because of his relationship with his manager.
“I think Newcastle would go for him. But I would love to see him at Arsenal.”

When it comes to the big games, Guardiola does turn to Jesus on a regular basis, which shows the trust he has in the Brazil star.
But now a certain Erling Haaland is on the scene, as well as Julian Alvarez, so could that limit Jesus’ minutes?
If that’s the case, added with his contract issues, then it wouldn’t be a surprise if it sees him depart the Premier League champions this summer.
