Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, who spent last season on loan at Bournemouth, was reportedly a summer transfer target for Newcastle United.

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at Bournemouth winning against Newcastle United at the weekend.
Bournemouth got the better of Newcastle 1-0 away from home at St. James’ Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Steve Cook’s goal in the second minute of injury time proved to be the difference between two sides.
Arsenal midfielder Wilshere was following the match, and the England international has taken to Twitter to express his delight at the win for the Cherries and is happy for Cook.
The 25-year-old spent the 2016-17 season on loan at Bournemouth from Arsenal.

Interestingly, Wilshere was linked with a move from Arsenal to Newcastle in the summer transfer window.
According to a report in The Sun in August 2017, Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez wanted to secure the services of the England international.
The Magpies are 11th in the Premier League table at the moment with 14 points from 11 matches.
