Jack Wilshere was thrilled for former club Arsenal as they beat Tottenham Hotspur 4-2 in Sunday’s North London derby.

The West Ham midfielder posted on Instagram, saying that Arsenal’s victory over Tottenham was ‘never in doubt’.

The Gunners are now level on points with Tottenham after the win.

Wilshere had been at Arsenal his entire career up until this summer.

He decided to quit Arsenal for West Ham, as he felt he did not have the guarantees of playing time which he wanted.

Injuries have stunted his career and saw Wilshere miss out on the World Cup.

His start at West Ham has also been affected by fitness problems, with Wilshere missing the last two months, including league and cup matches against Tottenham.

He returned at the weekend against Newcastle, coming off the bench to provide an assist in West Ham’s 3-0 win.

Wilshere’s Hammers currently sit 13th in the Premier League.
