Jack Wilshere has said on talkSPORT (6:46pm, October 14, 2021) that he loved Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham Hotspur despite being a former Arsenal player.

What’s the story?

Wilshere is a former Arsenal midfielder who is actually training with the Gunners now.

The Englishman has said that he absolutely loved Pochettino when the Argentine was in charge of Tottenham.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy sacked the Argentine in November 2019 after a poor run of form.

Pochettino was appointed the Paris Saint-Germain boss in January 2021 and is now earning €7 million per year (£5.93m per year/ £114,116.50 per week) as salary, as reported by SportBible.

Wilshere said on talkSPORT (6:46pm, October 14, 2021): “I loved Poch. Even though he was the manager of Tottenham, I still loved him. I think that he had done a great job.”

Bring Mauricio Pochettino back!

Things have not been great for Spurs since Pochettino was dismissed.

Jose Mourinho could not be successful at Tottenham, and his playing style was not popular among the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium faithful.

And now Nuno is struggling to get the Spurs fans onside.

In our view, only and only Pochettino can bring the joy back to Tottenham fans.

After all, the Argentine took Spurs close to winning the Premier League title, guided the team to the Champions League final in 2019, and played wonderful football.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy reportedly tried to bring the 49-year-old back from PSG in the summer of 2021.

But he failed.

And now Pochettino is working with Lionel Messi, Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Angel Di Maria among others at PSG.

It is unlikely that Pochettino will leave his role at the Parisian club anytime soon, but you just never know in football.

If PSG sack Pochettino, then we think that Spurs should try to bring back the Argentine.
