Jack Wilshere has admitted that he has ‘read all the rumours’ about him potentially signing for Rangers, as posted by Beanyman Sports.

Four years ago, Wilshere was representing England at the European Championships, and fast forward to today, and he’s heading towards next summer’s delayed Euros without a club to his name.

The question remains where Wilshere’s talents and injury-plagued career will take him next and whether he can land on the doorstep of his former Three Lions teammate at Ibrox.

Wilshere stated that there haven’t been any talks between himself and Rangers, but he is aware of what’s being said.

“There’s been no contact,” said Wilshere. “I have read all the rumours like you say and honestly there has been no contact

“Listen, I played with Gerrard for England and I watched him growing up. He was one of my heroes growing up and he’s a legend. But there’s been no contact.”

From a financial perspective, if Rangers can afford to have Wilshere on their books then they don’t have much to lose because, even if injuries hamper him once more, he is still bringing valuable experience.

Wilshere has made it clear that he wants to play for a team who like to have a high percentage of the ball and are a technically-based side, so he would suit the Gers in that regards.

Plus, given how Gerrard’s side are performing, he would be allowed to settle in and join a team that have been dispatching everything before them, both in the Premiership and in Europe.
