Jack Wilshere has lined up alongside some of the Premier League’s best, but how does new team-mate Harry Arter rank?

Many were surprised by Jack Wilshere’s deadline day transfer to Premier League minnows Bournemouth, with a host of major European clubs expressing an interest in the Arsenal and England midfielder before he finally settled on a move to the South Coast.
Whilst Wilshere is still finding his feet at his new club, the Arsenal loanee has seen enough in Bournemouth team mate Harry Arter to rate him as one of the best midfielders he has had the pleasure to play with.
The duo lined up together as the Cherries secured a vital 1-0 victory over Premier League high-flyers Everton on Saturday, and following the match Wilshere told Squawka of his admiration for his new team-mate.

Wilshere revealed “I have played with some top midfielders but it says a lot about a player when you are not at a big club like Arsenal and you are putting in performances like that.
“If he [Arter] wants to, I’m sure he could go onto bigger clubs. But I’m sure he is enjoying his time at Bournemouth – the fans love him, the manager loves him and he’s got everyone’s respect at the club.
“He is going to be important for us if we want to climb up the table.”
Wilshere was particularly impressed by Arter’s ability to stifle Everton playmaker, Ross Barkley. Barkley has had a renaissance of form in the opening weeks of the season, but was nullified by the hard-working Irishman as Everton made the trip to the Vitality Stadium.
“You see with a player like Ross Barkley, Harry didn’t give him a second. He didn’t let him turn, he didn’t let him do his stuff and I’m sure if you ask Ross he will say they are the worst type of players to play against. You hate them.
“You turn and he is there. You think you have beaten him and he comes back at you, so it is horrible to play against.”
The praise will be well received by a player whose hard work often goes under the radar in a modern game fascinated with attacking playmakers. Wilshere himself has had the privilege to play alongside some of the most creative players in the Premier League, with Mesut Özil, Santi Cazorla and Cesc Fabregas all lining up alongside the Englishman.
Bournemouth fans will be hoping the duo can build on their performance against Everton, and ensure the Dorset club consolidate their position at the pinnacle of English football.
