Arsenal talent Amario Cozier-Duberry is now being likened to Bukayo Saka after showing major talent in the Gunners ranks.

Saka has become the poster boy for all young talents in the Hale End ranks.

Having emerged back in 2019, Saka is now one of the top stars in the Premier League and is an England regular too.

Reaching those heights won’t be easy for Arsenal talents but one talent appears to have the potential.

Amario Cozier-Duberry is the teenager in question having really impressed Jack Wilshere.

The former Arsenal midfielder and current Gunners youth coach has raved about Cozier-Duberry whilst speaking to The Athletic.

Wilshere notes that Cozier-Duberry is an ‘exciting footballer’ and is actually very similar to Saka.

Wilshere thinks Cozier-Duberry must improve his decision-making just like Saka but he is really ‘unplayable’ at times.

The former midfielder claims that Mikel Arteta is a fan of Cozier-Duberry, possibly creating a pathway for first-team football down the line.

“His super-strengths are his ball-carrying and ability to take people on. He’s an exciting footballer, but (has) loads to learn,” said Wilshere.

“Amario is very exciting and Mikel likes him. He reminds me of Bukayo Saka, plays in the same position as him, needs to get better with his decision-making like Bukayo did, but he’s definitely exciting. In some moments he’s unplayable. You give him the ball and he can make things happen. You can set up a team and have a game plan, but when you’ve got individuals like that you’ve got a chance,” he added.

Who is Arsenal talent Amario Cozier-Duberry?

Cozier-Duberry has been rising through the Arsenal youth ranks in recent years.

The teenager is already thriving for England’s Under-19’s but could also play for Montserrat on the international stage.

Cozier-Duberry is only 17 but already has 17 Premier League 2 appearances this season, bagging three goals and three assists.

Add in five goals and two assist sin just four FA Youth Cup games and you can understand the hype surrounding Cozier-Duberry.

Primarily a right-sided winger just like Saka, Cozier-Duberry is described as ‘skilful and determined’ on Arsenal’s official website.

There is a long way for Cozier-Duberry to go before he can hit Saka’s level but Arsenal may now have real confidence that another top winger prospect is emerging in North London.
