Declan Rice’s performances may well have forced West Ham United’s Jack Wilshere out of his side’s starting line-up.

Declan Rice’s performances at the heart of West Ham United’s midfield lately must leave Jack Wilshere’s first tea place in serious doubt.
Wilshere recently picked up an injury, after featuring regularly over the early part of West Ham’s season.
But his absence has turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as Rice has thrived in his defensive midfield role.
Wilshere had kept Rice out of the team in the initial part of the season, but the youngster has come in and shown his worth.

West Ham have picked up four points in their last two matches, with Rice doing a brilliant job shielding his defence.
Wilshere may be a more talented passer than the 19-year-old, but he is not as mobile and does not possess the same discipline.
And, given West Ham’s success without him, Wilshere could now be facing time on the substitutes’ bench, when he does return from injury.
