Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers and Scottish Premiership champions Celtic both reportedly want Jack Whatmough.

The Scottish Sun have reported that Celtic and Rangers are both interested in signing Jack Whatmough.
The 22-year-old Portsmouth defender is out of contract at Fratton Park this summer and a cut-price January deal seems appealing for both Old Firm clubs.
If Celtic and Rangers are both genuinely interested then Whatmough has a big decision to make – and it must be the Gers.
The Hoops brought Jack Hendry to Parkhead slightly under a year ago and it just hasn’t worked out.
The 23-year-old is nowhere near being good enough for Brendan Rodgers’s side you could perhaps ask questions of Rodgers himself in regards to Hendry’s development.
The former Dundee man is clearly stagnant and working under Rangers boss Steven Gerrard might be a bit more appealing to Whatmough.
Obviously the youngster will want to work under a manager who gets the best out of him, but you could argue that Rodgers, who has also struggled to take Jozo Simunovic and Kristoffer Ajer to the next level, doesn’t specialise in improving centre-backs.
Rangers manager Gerrard doesn’t have a wealth of experience in this regard, but Ibrox, where Jermain Defoe will be playing in a couple of weeks, is the more exciting project of both at the moment and Whatmough should opt for the blue half of Glasgow.
