Sunderland youngster Max Stryjek is out on loan at Eastleigh at the moment.
Stryjek is out on loan at Eastleigh at the moment, and the 22-year-old goalkeeper is out of contract at Sunderland at the end of the season.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper has yet to break into the Black Cats’ first team, but manager Ross has said that he wants the youngster to be at the club beyond next summer.
Ross has also said that negotiations with Stryjek, as well as with other Sunderland players, have started.
“Denver, Josh, Lynden, George and Max are all out of contract in the summer,” Ross told The Northern Echo.
“We’re keen to keep all of them at the club and the communication with their representatives has begun.”
Good decision
It is going to be hard for Stryjek to establish himself in the Sunderland first team, but there is no doubt that the 22-year-old has a lot of quality.
The youngster does need regular playing time at this stage of his career, and a loan spell at Eastleigh will help him.
Training with the senior players and maybe going out on loan to a club in League Two or even League One next season would not be a bad move for Stryjek.
