Sunderland have made a number of signings in the summer transfer window.

Ross has said that the Black Cats are not close to making any signings inside the next two days.
Sunderland owner Stewart Donald said at the weekend that the League One outfit hopes to add new more players to their squad next week.
Ross told The Chronicle: “Nothing is imminent over the course of the next 24 hours, unless something dramatic changes. Time is marching on a little bit but I’m still confident.
“It’s a frustrating process but it’s like everything – there is no point in us recruiting for the sake of recruiting, we need players who improve us rather than bringing in players who are like-for-like.
“We are working hard to do that and we need to do it in that [left-back] position – anything else we do would be a bonus.”

Summer transfer activity
Sunderland have been quite busy in the summer transfer window and have made a number of signings already.
The Black Cats have secured the services of Conor McLaughlin, Ahmed Abdelkader, Lee Burge, Ruben Sammut, Michael Collins, Jordan Willis, George Dobson and Marc McNulty (loan) already this summer.
The left-back is an area that Sunderland need to look at, and it is encouraging for the Stadium of Light faithful that manager Ross plans to sign a left-back.
Sunderland have made a disappointing start to the season and have picked up just five points from three League One fixtures.
