Sunderland midfielder Ethan Robson made his second start of the season last night.

Robson is yet to feature at all for Sunderland in the league this term, but was handed a start against Carlisle United last night in the Football League trophy.
The youngster managed to score in Sunderland’s 3-1 victory, before going off with injury.
And Ross admits that Robson has been unlucky to get injured, as he was part of his starting plans in pre-season.
“He’s a good player, I really like him, I’m fond of him,” Ross said.
“He was very much in my plans pre-season and would have started the season against Charlton if he’d been fit.
“It’s just the way it pans out, he’s found himself a bit behind some others and it has maybe dented his confidence a bit. We’ve worked hard with him, one-to-one, trying to build him up and the bits of his game he can tidy up. He wants to improve and he takes it on board, he wants to get better and play here.”

Robson’s injury which he picked up last night is not set to rule him out for any period of time, so he could be involved in Sunderland’s match at the weekend.
The Black Cats are next in action on Saturday, when they take on Shrewsbury Town.
Sunderland go into the match as heavy favourites to win, as they look to continue their impressive run of form of late.
Sunderland are currently in third place in the League One table, and look to be among the front runners for promotion.
