Will Grigg scored for Sunderland on Wednesday.

The Black Cats got the better of Burnley 3-1 away from home at Turf Moor in the EFL Cup on Wednesday evening.
Grigg scored the opening goal for the League One outfit in the 35th minute, as Ross’s side registered a brilliant victory over the Premier League club.
Sunderland boss Ross has spoken highly of the 28-year-old Northern Ireland international striker, and has said that the past seven months have been challenging for him.
Ross told The Chronicle about Grigg: “I am delighted for him because he is desperate to be a success for the club and it has been a challenging seven months for him.
“He has continued to train properly and we have continued to have faith and confidence in him and his performances coming off the bench have been good and he has helped us win matches.”
Disappointing
Grigg joined Sunderland from Wigan Athletic in January 2019 for a transfer fee reported by The Chronicle to be worth £4 million.
However, the 28-year-old has struggled to play well for the Black Cats and has failed to score the number of goals that he was expected to.
The former Brentford striker scored just four goals and provided two assists in League One for Sunderland during the second half of last season, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
