Dylan McGeouch joined Jack Ross’s Sunderland in the summer transfer window.

Ross made the comments following Sunderland’s 2-0 win against Plymouth Argyle away from home in League One at the weekend.
McGeouch, who joined the Black Cats in the summer transfer window, played well for the visiting team and was a key figure in the win this past Saturday afternoon.
The 25-year-old Scotland international has played in 11 League One matches for Sunderland so far this season, and manager Ross has been impressed with the former Celtic and Hibernian midfielder.
Ross told The Chronicle about McGeouch: “Every time I have asked players to step up, they have done so.
“I think Dylan’s performances are steadily improving and he showed today what an influence he can have on the game. It just heightens that competition for places.”

Pushing for promotion
Sunderland are second in the League One table at the moment with 35 points from 16 matches, just three points behind leaders Portsmouth with a game in hand.
The Black Cats are in good form at the moment and have momentum on their side.
McGeouch is improving steadily and is proving why Ross brought him to the Stadium of Light in the summer transfer window on a free.
