Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to react after Sky Sports revealed that Eddie Howe is not closing in on a return to management.

The Scottish Sun recently claimed that Howe had a meeting with Dermot Desmond and outgoing CEO Peter Lawwell.

Sky Sports also revealed that Celtic had made contact with the 43-year-old in regards to replacing Neil Lennon.

However, it has now been revealed that Howe does not plan to return to management until at least the summer.

Now, this news seems to have come as a blow to Celtic fans on Twitter.

The Paradise Park faithful have been flooding the comments section on nearly everything Celtic have tweeted recently, demanding the announcement of Howe’s appointment.

Some reports even claimed that the ex-Burnley boss was already thinking about who he wants to bring with him to Glasgow.

The Scottish Sun claimed that Howe wanted to bring his former Bournemouth centre-back Steve Cook with him to Celtic.

Again, the Scottish Sun added that Howe wanted to sign his former striker Josh King once he arrived at Celtic.

In this respect, you can see why the latest update from Sky Sports has left Celtic fans feeling a bit disappointed.
