Charlie Wyke joined Sunderland in the summer transfer window.

Wyke is on the sidelines at the moment with posterior cruciate knee ligament damage he suffered back in September.
The 25-year-old striker joined Sunderland from Bradford City in the summer transfer window for an transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £600,000.
The striker – who has scored one goal in three League One appearances for Sunderland so far this season, according to Transfermarkt.com – could be back in action by Christmas, according to manager Ross.
Ross has also given a positive injury update on 24-year-old winger Duncan Watmore, who had struggled to play regularly since suffering a ruptured cruciate ligament back in December 2016.

“Charlie is where we expected him to be – probably around Christmas time is where we expected him to be and he probably feels he is a bit ahead of that,” Ross told The Northern Echo.
“Duncan has now completed three weeks of full training, in every day which is a brilliant step forward,” added Ross.
“We are something like 11 months into his rehabilitation period, which second time around for that injury is a good benchmark.
“We can now start to get closer to game time, either Under-23s of behind closed doors. I would expect before the end of the year we would have him available.’’
Encouraging update
Wyke was signed by Sunderland to be their main striker this season, and the 25-year-old has been missed so far.
If the striker is full fit and available for the second half of the season, then Sunderland will have a great chance of winning the League One title.
