Aiden McGeady was in action for Sunderland against Burton Albion in League One this past weekend.

The Black Cats suffered a 2-1 defeat to Burton away from home at the Pirelli Stadium in League One this past Saturday afternoon.
McGeady featured for Sunderland in the match, as the 32-year-old former Spartak Moscow and Everton winger came on as a substitute in the 51st minute.
It was the former Celtic winger’s first appearance for the Black Cats in a competitive match since April, as stated in The Northern Echo.
Sunderland manager Ross was pleased to see the Republic of Ireland international back in action, but he has admitted that the 32-year-old winger did look leggy towards the end of the match.
Ross told The Northern Echo about McGeady: “I thought he gave us a real spark when he came on. It was a big ask of him because he hasn’t trained in four months.
“At the end of the game he probably looked a bit leggy but what he probably did was spark us in that period where we scored and had other opportunities.”

Big player
McGeady is a hugely experienced footballer who will be a key figure for Sunderland as the season progresses.
It will take the 32-year-old a while to get back to his best, and the Stadum of Light faithful must be patient.
McGeady has been on the books of Sunderland since the summer of 2017 when he joined from Everton for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £250,000.
