Sunderland full-back Denver Hume has forced his way into Jack Ross’ starting line-up.

Hume’s first-team chances did not look particularly bright at the start of the campaign.
However, the Sunderland youngster has forced his way ahead of Bryan Oviedo in the team selection.
And Ross said: “Denver has probably been the biggest surprise. He’s the one that’s really emerged from pre-season, along with Bali (Mumba).
“Denver’s the one that’s probably caught people by surprise because he’s emerged in an area of the pitch where not only do we have Bryan but Reece James, who’s an established player at this level. For him to be playing in the team at the moment shows you how well he’s done. That versatility in our selection always helped.”
Hume started in Sunderland’s last match against Rochdale, and he looks almost certain to keep his place this weekend.

Sunderland won 4-1 in their last outing, with their next match coming against Coventry City.
The Black Cats can put pressure on the league leaders by winning, as they are the early kick off.
If Sunderland can pick up the victory, then they will be just one point off the top of the table, by the time Peterborough United and Portsmouth kick off.
