Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino likes to give opportunities to young players when possible and one prospect who will hope that he will eventually be given a chance to impress for the club is Jack Roles.

The talented midfielder has produced some encouraging performances for Tottenham at various youth levels this season as he has featured for the U23s, in the UEFA Youth League in the EFL Trophy.

An efficient passer of the ball, Roles has also made some significant strides forward on the international stage as he has been capped by Cyprus at U19 level, finding the net against Azerbaijan.

Goals are becoming an increasingly common feature in Roles’ game – he also scored against Everton for the U23s and Real Madrid in the UEFA Youth League and he has been playing with increased confidence in recent weeks.

Having seen players such as Harry Winks make the step up to the first-team, Roles will be eager to display that he too can succeed in due course, although he may well have to go out on loan first before he is given an opportunity at Tottenham.
