Jack Miller is exactly the kind of rider Ducati are seeking for their World Superbikes team, setting up a potential plan B if he loses his MotoGP seat.
The early expectation was that Miller would remain with Pramac for 2027, but that view is starting to shift. Growing talk about Yamaha youngster Izan Guevara making the jump to MotoGP next year could mean a move to the satellite team.
With Ai Ogura set to partner Jorge Martin at the factory squad and Toprak Razgatlioglu still under contract, Miller’s spot is the only one left undecided.
Jack Miller’s experience and familiarity with Ducati could make him an ideal fit

Paddock-GP reports that Miller left a strong impression during his first stint with Ducati, where he raced for the factory team in 2021 and 2022.
During those two seasons, he won three races, reached the podium 12 times and played a supporting role to Francesco Bagnaia in title fights against Fabio Quartararo.
Speculation about a move to World Superbikes has been around for a while now, and MotoGP pit reporter Jack Appleyard recently mentioned that Miller has a real shot at joining Ducati if he leaves MotoGP.
Miller is valued not just for his speed but also for his development skills. With over 200 starts in the premier class, he’s known more now for pushing teams forward than sheer pace alone.
Miller’s current teammate Miguel Oliveira made the switch from Pramac to BMW WorldSBK and managed three podiums during the second race weekend in Portugal. Alvaro Bautista and Danilo Petrucci, both familiar faces from MotoGP, are also inside the top 10 of the championship standings.
Nicolò Bulega is currently leading the championship and could be heading to MotoGP next year. If that happens, Ducati might see Miller as an obvious choice to step in.
Jack Miller is running out of time to turn around the MotoGP future
A report claims Miller is already on a ‘farewell tour’ in MotoGP, needing a ‘miracle’ result in the next two races – the Spanish and French Grands Prix – to turn things around.
He will at least get more clarity this time around if an exit is announced soon. Last year, he wasn’t officially extended until September.
Miller sits just ahead of test rider Michele Pirro in the world championship standings and has been outperformed by Razgatlioglu in five of their seven head-to-head sessions this season.
Regardless of Yamaha’s struggles, Miller’s slow start to 2027 isn’t helping his case at such an important stage. It feels like a big opportunity slipping away for him.
