Nottingham Forest striker Jack Marriott is said to be of interest to Aitor Karanka’s side.

Jack Marriott of Peterborough United tangles with Adrien Silva of Leicester City during the Emirates FA Cup Fourth Roundat ABAX Stadium on January 27, 2018 in Peterborough, England.

According to the Nottingham Post, Jack Marriott favours a move to Nottingham Forest, and Aitor Karanka’s side no longer have an excuse not to get a deal done, if the Spanish boss wants him.

Marriott is one of the most in-demand players in the Football League this summer, after netting 33 goals for Peterborough United last term, and Forest have been heavily linked with a move for the striker.

Indeed, Peterborough director of football Barry Fry has suggested to the Nottingham Post that Marriott has his heart set on a move to the City Ground.

If Marriott does favour a move to the Reds, then Karanka’s side should have all the encouragement they need to go after the £5 million-rated forward (Daily Mail).

Forest need to find a prolific striker next term, and finding a more exciting target than Marriott would be a tough task.
