Nottingham Forest striker Jack Marriott is said to be of interest to Aitor Karanka’s side.

Marriott is one of the most in-demand players in the Football League this summer, after netting 33 goals for Peterborough United last term, and Forest have been heavily linked with a move for the striker.

Indeed, Peterborough director of football Barry Fry has suggested to the Nottingham Post that Marriott has his heart set on a move to the City Ground.
If Marriott does favour a move to the Reds, then Karanka’s side should have all the encouragement they need to go after the £5 million-rated forward (Daily Mail).
Forest need to find a prolific striker next term, and finding a more exciting target than Marriott would be a tough task.

Marriott looks ready to make the step up to the Championship, after finding the back of the net so frequently last season.
And Forest would be making a real statement of their intent, if they were to snap up Marriott from Posh this summer.
