Jack Hunt sends messages to Barry Bannan and Middlesbrough midfielder on Twitter

Sheffield Wednesday and Middlesbrough are aiming to win promotion from the Championship to the Premier League.

Sheffield Wednesday defender Jack Hunt has taken to social networking site Twitter to congratulate Barry Bannan on making it into the PFA Championship Team of the Year.

The 26-year-old central midfielder is one of 12 players included in the prestigious list, along with Burnley stars Tom Heaton, Will Keane, Joey Barton and Andre Gray among others.

Middlesbrough midfielder Adam Clayton has also been included in the PFA Championship Team of the Year, and Hunt has praised him on Twitter as well.

Bannan has scored one goal and created 52 chances in 32 Championship appearances for Wednesday so far this season.

The former Crystal Palace midfielder has a pass accuracy of 81% and a shot accuracy of 28%, and has won three headers, 24 dribbles and 40 tackles.

Clayton has scored one goal and created 29 chances in 39 Championship matches for Middlesbrough so far this campaign.

The former Leeds United midfielder has a pass accuracy of 86% and a shot accuracy of 25%, and has won 24 headers, 13 dribbles and 74 tackles.

Middlesbrough are at the top of the Championship table at the moment with 86 points from 43 matches, while Sheffield are currently sixth in the standings with 70 points from 43 games.
