Jack Harrison has been outstanding for Leeds United in recent weeks as they look to secure promotion out of the Championship.

It has taken a while but Jack Harrison seems to really be winning the large majority of Leeds fans over with his current run of form.

Harrison has arguably been one of the most heavily-criticised players within Marcelo Bielsa’s squad since his arrival on loan from Manchester City in the summer.

In fairness, he had gone into the new year having scored one goal and provided no assists. His outstanding display in the 3-0 win against Preston North End in September showed exactly why the Premier League champions have him on their books, but it was something of an anomaly for the youngster.

But something appears to have clicked more recently, and he now seems to be hitting form at the perfect time for promotion-chasing Leeds.

Harrison was overshadowed by some of his teammates against West Brom earlier this month, but was still superb. And he followed that up with another exciting performance in the weekend win against Bristol City.

And on current form, it is difficult to imagine Leeds not exploring the possibility of keeping the wide-man beyond this season, whether that be on another loan deal or on a permanent basis.

He could still provide more goals and assists, but he is now making things happen. His confidence appears to be high and he is not afraid to try and produce a piece of magic as he runs at full-backs.

Suddenly, Bielsa’s faith in Harrison during those disappointing weeks before the turn of the year makes complete sense. And if he continues to impress over the remaining weeks of the season, then Leeds must reach out to Manchester City in the hope that a deal can be agreed when the window opens.
