Leeds United drew 1-1 at Millwall on Saturday afternoon.
Leeds United ace Jack Harrison has told the club’s official website that he is happy to play anywhere for the club after Marcelo Bielsa used him as a striker against Millwall.
The Whites came back from the international break on Saturday afternoon with a trip to face rivals Millwall, with fears that their unbeaten start to the season would end at The New Den just as it did last season.
After a tight first 50 minutes, Millwall took the lead, with Leeds failing to deal with a long throw in and Jed Wallace swooping at the back post to score.
Leeds had to recover and go again, and did get their equaliser when forward Harrison smashed home a left-footed strike from the edge of the box.
Leeds will gladly take a point back to Elland Road after a tough few days, in which they were dealt a whole host of injury blows one after another.
Gaetano Berardi, Pablo Hernandez, Kemar Roofe and Patrick Bamford were all ruled out over the international break, leaving Bielsa to re-think his attacking options.
Tyler Roberts started up top, but when Stuart Dallas came on for him, Harrison was switched from a winger to a striker – and he grabbed the goal.
Now, Manchester City loanee Harrison has told the club’s official website that whilst he is happy to play wherever Bielsa wants him to, he is used to playing as a winger as he seemingly opens himself up to being Leeds’ saviour in attack.
“I like to just be available for the manager wherever he needs me, if he needs me,” said Harrison. “I’m happy to fill in anywhere, I have been used to playing out wide but I always try and cut inside anyway! I’m happy to play anywhere,” he added.
